Everything you need to know before registering for the NBA Program.

QUESTION 1: WHAT IS THE NEW BUSINESS ASSOCIATE (NBA) PROGRAM?

The New Business Associate (NBA) Program is designed to help you become a licensed life insurance agent, with structured training, mentorship and support from day one through licensing.

You get live LLQP review classes, a mentor from your Certified Business Trainer, a learning community, and someone in your corner all the way through contracting. The full list is in the next question.

Think of it as your launchpad into the financial services industry.

QUESTION 2: WHAT’S INCLUDED IN THE REGISTRATION FEE?

Registration options include:

Valid for one year from your registration date.

QUESTION 3: DOES THE FEE INCLUDE CERTIFICATION AND PROVINCIAL EXAMS?

No. Exam costs are separate.

You should budget for:

>Certification exam (SeeWhyLearning): approx. $179.99 + tax

>Provincial exam fees (varies by province)

>Annual license renewal fees (after licensing)

>Errors & Omissions (E&O) insurance (required for licensed agents)

Plan ahead so there are no surprises.

QUESTION 4: HOW LONG IS MY REGISTRATION VALID?

Your registration is valid for one year from your registration date.

If it expires before you're licensed, you have to re-register for $199 plus tax valid again for a year.

We recommend completing your licensing within your first year.

QUESTION 5: CAN I PAY MONTHLY?

No. Registration is a one-time annual payment only.

QUESTION 6: WHAT PAYMENT METHODS ARE ACCEPTED?

We accept:

E-transfer is not available.

QUESTION 8: WHAT IS THE REFUND POLICY?

Registration fee is NON-REFUNDABLE

Access to resources begins immediately after payment, so refunds cannot be issued.

QUESTION 7: WHY ARE THERE SCREENING QUESTIONS?

Screening protects both you and the company by identifying potential contracting issues before you invest time and money.

To proceed to contracting, you must have:

>Credit score of 625+

>No undischarged bankruptcy

>No unpaid commission chargeback debt

>No unresolved regulatory issues

>Valid residency status

QUESTION 8: CAN I REGISTER WITH A STUDENT PERMIT OR CLOSED WORK PERMIT?

You may register to learn. However, contracting eligibility depends on residency status.

Eligible for contracting:

>Canadian Citizen

>Permanent Resident

>Open Work Permit (6+ months valid, no restrictions)

Not eligible for contracting:

>Student Permit

>Closed Work Permit

>Refugee Claimant / Protected Person

>Restricted Work Permit

>Open Work Permit expiring within 6 months

Greatway does not sponsor work permits.

Your Field Leader / Certified Business Trainer is your first point of contact for program-related questions.

QUESTION 10: I DON’T KNOW MY FIELD LEADER’S VGBID NUMBER. WHERE CAN I FIND IT?

Your Field Leader can find their VGBID in the top menu of their My Greatway Office (MGO) account. Just ask them for it, and show them the image if they're not sure where to look.

If the person who invited you isn't licensed yet, see the next question.

QUESTION 11: WHAT IF THE PERSON WHO INVITED ME IS STILL A NEW BUSINESS ASSOCIATE (NBA) AND NOT LICENSED, HOW CAN I GET THE VGBID NUMBER?

If the person who invited you isn't licensed yet, their Field Leader or direct SVP will have the VGBID.

Whoever you ask can find it by signing in to their My Greatway Office (MGO) account and opening the My Agency Hierarchy section. Show them the image if they're not sure where to look.

The VGBID field is optional, so a blank won't stop you from registering.
