Effective Date: January 10, 2025
This Agreement, along with any accompanying product and pricing document executed as a standalone order or agreed to as part of an online order process on Greatway Financial Inc. purchasing portal website, is entered by and between Greatway Financial Inc., (“Greatway”, “Greatway Financial”, “GFI”) and the individual named on the product and pricing document accompanied with this Agreement (the “New Business Associate” or “NBA” ), each referred to as a “ Party”, and collectively as “the Parties”.
WHEREAS, Greatway provides business opportunity and community platform for training to the New Business Associate (NBA) according to the terms and conditions set forth below;
WHEREAS, New Business Associate (NBA) desires to engage with Greatway and avail of such services provided below.
NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual covenants and agreements hereinafter set forth and for other good and valuable consideration, the receipt and sufficiency of which are hereby acknowledged, the Parties hereto agree as follows:
A. DEFINITIONS
“Advocis” is a reputable and well-established professional association and certification provider for insurance agents, financial advisors and planners, offering the Life License Qualification Program (LLQP)
“Agreement” or “Terms and Conditions” means the document which outlines the responsibilities of all Parties
“Certified Business Trainer” (CBT) denotes an individual who has achieved a certain level of training and expertise within the GFI and is responsible for training and mentoring new business associates (NBA) and agents.
“Field Trainer” is the licensed individual agent assisting with field training
“Greatway Financial Inc.”, “GFI”, “Greatway”, “us”, “we”, or “our”) means the entity providing the services in this agreement
“HLLQP” or simply called “LLQP” means Harmonized Life License Qualification Program or Life License Qualification Program, which is the certification program in Canada for individuals seeking to become life insurance agents or brokers. The program covers various aspects of life insurance, including regulatory frameworks, product knowledge, ethical standards, and sales practices.
“Member”, “you”, “your”, “new business associate”, “associate”, “associate member” or “trainee” means the individual availing and utilizing the training services of Greatway
“Provincial Regulator” means the insurance industry regulatory body for a particular province or territory in Canada.
“Registration”, “Membership” means the enrollment by the New Business Associate (NBA) for services delivered by a provider
“SAF” or System Access Fee means a monthly recurring charge to contracted agents to sustain access to GFI resources and platforms.
“Skool.com” is the online platform hosting Greatway’s Business Community for training and discussions.
B. ASSOCIATION WITH GREATWAY FINANCIAL
- The New Business Associate (NBA) agrees to the terms and conditions outlined in this agreement. The NBA understands that GFI has the right to promulgate and publish rules and requirements relative to such associate’s relationship with GFI. GFI reserves the right to have final approval and control over all contracts, rights and obligations that relate, in any way, to new business associate’s relationship with GFI.
- Associate’s responsibilities:
- The New Business Associate (NBA) shall participate in field trainings with a field trainer (FT) or certified business trainer (CBT)
- The New Business Associate (NBA) shall engage in training and activities provided by GFI
- The New Business Associate (NBA) is responsible in obtaining the necessary HLLQP license including fees pertaining to pre-licensing training and education, examination, and licensing fees if they wish to proceed with their licensing. Advocis is currently the certification provider partner of GFI and provides discount to Greatway’s New Business Associate for the HLLQP certification exams.
- The New Business Associate (NBA) shall refrain from selling or soliciting for sale, any products and services that require licensing with GFI – such as life insurance products (e.g. term, whole or universal life), accident & sickness insurance, investment-linked insurance products and other similar offerings – until necessary license has been obtained.
- The New Business Associate (NBA) shall preserve the good name and reputation of GFI and shall not engage in any activities that could damage the name and reputation of GFI.
- The New Business Associate (NBA) shall NOT participate in, associate with, or engage in any hierarchical sales organization or structure where commissions are distributed across multiple generational levels unless they are formally affiliated with and authorized by Greatway.
- The New Business Associate (NBA) shall comply with all the rules and guidelines set forth by GFI.
C. PAYMENT
All payments of Greatway Financial invoices are subject to the following conditions.
1. Payment methods
GFI accepts the following major credit cards:
- Mastercard Credit / Debit
- Visa Credit / Debit
- American Express
- Including Prepaid Cards – (in case there is no credit or debit card)
GFI does not currently offer e-transfer options
2. GFI has a one-time registration fee of $299 CAD plus applicable taxes non-refundable and not-transferable valid for two (2) years.
3. The new business associate to GFI must be the Cardholder and Payor.
4. When completing the online payment form, funds will be deducted from the new business associate’s preferred method of payment in Canadian dollars.
5. Due to the way transactions are processed by our payment processor, there may be delays of 1-2 days in updating your payment in GFI’s records.
6. Payments are credited to GFI.
7. Credit card payments are secure:
- Payments will be processed directly by Moneris using Secure Socket Layer (SSL).
- Credit card numbers are protected with a high level of encryption when transmitted over the Internet.
- GFI does not have access to your credit card details.
8. Confirmation:
- If successful, the New Business Associate’s credit/debit card provider will confirm that the payment was completed.
- If unsuccessful, the New Business Associate’s credit/debit card provider will advise you of same. GFI will not be informed why a payment has failed, therefore, the New Business Associate should contact their credit/debit card provider for details.
- In case of payment failure, the New Business Associate should use one of the other payment methods available. Please arrange an alternative payment method promptly by emailing membership@greatwayfinancial.com
- Regardless of transaction result (success or failure), the New Business Associate’s will receive an on-screen confirmation.
9. All information you provide on the credit card payment facility forms will be handled in accordance with the GFI Privacy policy.(See section E)
10. GFI’s Terms and Conditions are subject to change at any time. Each transaction shall be subject to the specific Terms and Conditions that were in place at the time of the transaction.
D. AGREEMENT
Please read this agreement carefully:
- Our Commitment / Responsibility: Upon acceptance of a valid registration to GFI, we will provide services and access to:
- Our community platform that will provide essential trainings to get you started
- Study materials and guides for HLLQP exam preparation to help you obtain your life insurance
- Exclusive perks and advantages as Greatway Business Associate– see Greatway Advantage
- The study guides and materials provided are intended for personal use exclusively. Users are strictly prohibited from copying, duplicating, or misappropriating the website’s content. Any action in violation of these terms constitutes theft, and we reserve the right to prosecute such theft to the fullest extent permitted by law. While electronic copies may be shared for personal use, printing of the materials for any purpose is strictly forbidden unless expressly authorized. In the event of registration cancellation or termination, all copies of materials must be promptly deleted and removed by the New Business Associate.
- New Business Associates, Field Trainers and Certified Business Trainers must adhere and comply with Greatway’s Ethics and Conduct policies outlined in, but not limited to: Greatway Professional Guidelines & Implementing Rules, Greatway Agent Code of Conduct, and Code of Ethics (Quebec).
- GFI reserves the right to deactivate, terminate, prevent access, disable service and /or delete any accounts should you commit any form of misconduct, not limited to those listed below which may be grounds to void your rights to receive services:
- Unauthorized reproduction and distribution of materials and recordings of instruction.
- Unlawful acquisition and/or use of other students’ or prospects’ contact and privacy information.
- Committing illegal/immoral acts.
- Solicitation of any other business other than that of relation to Greatway Financial Inc.
- Misuse of facilities and equipment in the offices.
- Causing a disturbance or nuisance.
- All other violations of GFI’s rules and regulations.
- If the New Business Associate (NBA) enrolls in GFI with the intention of becoming a life licensed agent, please note that the Provincial Regulator and Immigration Canada have certain Conflicts of Interest criteria that may prevent you from being granted a life insurance license. Please check your Provincial Regulator for guidelines for which occupations are considered a conflict, and thus prevent you from holding a life insurance license simultaneously. If you are a permit holder (Open, International Student or Student Work Permit), please confirm with your Immigration Lawyer that your permit qualifies you to hold a life insurance license. GFI does not guarantee your eligibility for license and contracting for sponsorship. HLLQP is useful for people who want to become more familiar with the world of finance, and be better equipped to make financial decisions, regardless of whether you decide to proceed to obtain your life insurance license.
- Limitation Period of Registration Validity:
- Upon GFI’s receipt of your payment, the access to the platform is valid for the period indicated herein, unless cancelled by the New Business Associate or otherwise terminated for breach of the conditions set forth in this Agreement or for any causes permitted by Law.
- Cancellation Policy of New Business Agreement Program
- Registration fees are non-refundable.
- Upon formal Contracting with GFI, the licensed agent shall begin to be charged the regular System Access Fee (SAF) at prevailing rates.
- Non-solicitation policy: Former GFI new business associate (NBA) is not allowed to actively recruit or promote another MGA and any multi-level marketing entity to any existing GFI business associate for a duration of 2 years from the date of cancellation.
- No Transfer Rule: GFI maintains a No Transfer Rule among its new business associate and licensed agents. New Business associate (NBA) and agents may not unilaterally change or request to change the person who invited them, field trainer or team placement. No transfer or change of field trainer may be enacted without the requisite investigation and express approval of GFI’s Ethics Office pursuant to existing policies and procedures, professional standards and/or as may be duly authorized by Executive Management. GFI reserves the right to promulgate, enforce, and amend such policies as it deems necessary.
- Payment Obligations Absolute: You are obligated to pay the fees outlined in this agreement. We will not reduce, discount, or cancel your obligation because you do not use the materials or instruction provided.
- Communication: From time to time, GFI and its instructors may contact you directly by phone, text or email with the contact information provided, obtaining feedback on your progress, and updating on the current system. You may withdraw your consent by emailing us at membership@greatwayfinancial.com
- Non-Transferability of Registration: This agreement / registration is personal to you. You may not assign or transfer this registration to anyone else unless authorized. Any attempt to sell, assign, or transfer this agreement without authorization shall be null and void and will result in cancellation of your registration immediately without refund.
- Assignment by Greatway Financial Inc.: We may assign this agreement to another company or person at our discretion, and the term ‘Greatway Financial Inc.’ includes any assignee, who will have all our rights and powers under this agreement. If any claim is brought against us in this agreement after we have assigned it, we reserve the right to avail of any action to defend our rights under this Agreement.
- Governing Law: This agreement is governed by the laws of the province in which it is signed and the laws of Canada applicable therein.
E. PRIVACY STATEMENT
We will collect your personal information (which may include your name, birthdate, home address, email address, phone number, employment status, residency status, credit status and other relevant information) from you for the sole purpose of determining your registration eligibility, sending instructions, and completing your registration.
Except as set out in this policy or as required or permitted by law, GFI will not sell or disclose any of your personal information to any other organization or transmit personal information to third parties without first obtaining your consent. GFI may, however, disclose information in the following cases:
- to our lawyer.
- to comply with a subpoena, warrant or order.
- to a police force, if required by law.
- to a person authorized by a law or collective agreement.
- to an investigative body or government institution which can oblige us to do so.
- in emergency situations in which we believe that the life, health or safety of an associate or other person may be at risk.
- to an agent retained by GFI in connection with the collection of your account. GFI may review and revise its Privacy policy from time to time. Changes to this policy are available on request by email or at Greatway Financial offices.
- To your field trainers or team leaders within your team/hierarchy, for purposes of facilitating communication, coaching, training and administrative support.

F. THIRD PARTY PROCESSING
Payments are processed through Moneris, Inc. and it’s Main Office is located in Canada. Please see detailed Terms and Conditions | Moneris.
G. SEVERABILITY CLAUSE
If any provision in these Terms and Conditions shall be declared invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the validity, legality and enforceability of the remaining provisions shall not in any way be affected or impaired and shall remain in force accordingly.
